Android app market is one of the fasted growing market industries in the world at the moment now. There are apps that are making billions of dollars per year. So, if you are willing to enter this billion-dollar market industry you have to start it today to prepare yourself. You have a need for some basic things before starting android app development. These include gadgets and information related to IDE and android structure lifecycle. I will try my best to explain the prerequisites for android app development.

Devices Prerequisites for Android App Development

First of all, you need to have a computer system. It can be a PC or laptop but it needed to be powerful. If your computer isn’t powerful, it will become your headache as the IDE Android Studio is too much heavy and it takes too many resources to run and work on a computer. Your computer system needed to have at least 8GB of RAM and if you have installed SSD it would help your system to work fast. But if you are not having an SSD on your computer, this will result in slowing the computer and you won’t be able to run any other application even if you run Android Studio will interrupt the performance.

An Android Virtual Device or Android Smartphone

The next device we need is to have an android smartphone. If you don’t have one, you can install an android emulator but installing an emulator will result in slowing your computer. I would recommend you use an external device instead of an Android emulator. There’s a built-in Android emulator in Android Studio but you can use others as well.

Android App Architecture and Android Life Cycle

You need to get to know with Android life cycle and the complete architecture of Android. It will help you later in app development to implement your ideas into code. How apps work and how you can interact with the app’s life cycle will definitely improve your app development skills.

Learn Coding Concepts for Android App Development

Learning about basic things and components of Android will help you to better code in your professional life. You need to know about the following 4 components for Android which are the basis of any android app.

Activities: They help the users to communicate with the app such as buttons, screens, and views, etc.
Services: They are hidden from the end-user and they run in the background.
Broadcast Receivers: Helps the app to communicate with the android system.
Content Providers: They control and manage all the things that are related to data on an android app.

      Learn a Programming Language

You need to learn to program for developing an app but if you don’t need to be an expert. Basic knowledge of programming is a prerequisite for android app development. You may need to be familiar with any programming and then you can easily learn Java or Kotlin. These are the prerequisites for app development in android. But if you don’t have these, you don’t need to worry you can learn basic from the internet or you can take a course online.
